“When I taste RUMOR,
I feel this wine is alive.”
Pierre Guerin, Winemaker

Why Côtes de Provence?
Provence, known as the birthplace of rosé, is renowned as the premier region for producing rosé wine, much like champagne is for sparkling wine.
With over 2,000 years of winemaking heritage, the unique terroir of provence is ideal for crafting rose wines: abundant sunshine, warm days, and cool nights foster long growing seasons and slow ripening, which help preserve the acidity and freshness essential to rosé.
The region’s diverse soils, including limestone and clay, paired with centuries of tradition and expertise, make Provence the perfect setting for producing refined, vibrant roses, and RUMOR rosé is no exception.
Provence is the largest producer of premium rosé wines in the world. Its rosé exports have grown consistently over the past decade, further solidifying its status as the world leader in this category.
An Independent Producer
As an independent producer, we select grapes from a range of the finest vineyards across the Côtes de Provence. This allows us to craft the ultimate blend, one that defines RUMOR’s signature style: perfectly pale, aromatic and vibrant, beautifully balanced, and unmistakably refreshing.
By sourcing across diverse terroirs, we maintain consistency in both taste and quality, even as climate conditions evolve. Our grapes are certified organic and handled with minimal intervention to preserve their natural expression.

Expert Craftsmanship
Our winemaker begins harvest just before sunrise, when temperatures are between 6°C and 8°C (42.8°F and 46.4°F), capturing optimal freshness and acidity. The grapes are gently sorted, destemmed, and transported swiftly for soft pressing and maceration.
Each parcel is vinified separately, then blended in December to create a rosé that showcases delicate aromatics, fresh fruit, and floral notes. The final wine is aged for three months in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve its clarity, structure, and purity.
